Every year, thousands of Bangladeshis trust visa consultancies with their savings, their documents, and their dreams of working or studying abroad. Most of that trust is well placed — but not always. Here are seven honest questions to ask before you hand over a single taka.
1. How long has this company operated under its current name?
Ask directly, and ask for proof — a trade license, registration date, or simply how long they've been at their current office location.
2. Do they have a physical office you can visit?
A legitimate consultancy will have a real office with staff you can meet in person, not just a Facebook page and a phone number.
3. Will they explain the visa category and requirements clearly, in your language?
If a consultant is vague about which visa category fits your situation, or rushes past your questions, that's a warning sign.
4. What is their fee structure, and when is payment due?
Transparent consultancies explain fees upfront, before any commitment. Be cautious of anyone asking for large payments before any real work has begun.
5. Can they show you real, verifiable success statistics?
Ask how many applications they've processed and what their actual approval rate is — and ask how that number is calculated.
6. Do they explain what happens if a visa is refused?
Every honest consultancy will tell you upfront that no visa outcome can ever be 100% guaranteed, and should explain their policy if an application doesn't succeed.
7. Are they willing to put everything in writing?
A trustworthy consultancy will provide a written agreement covering services, fees, and timelines — not just a verbal promise.
Our Answers to These Same Questions
We've operated from the same commitment to transparency since 2007: a physical office in Bakshibazar, Dhaka, a documented ISO 9001 quality process, an honestly-calculated 94% approval rate across 8,500+ applications, and a team that will always tell you clearly what to expect — including when we don't think a particular visa category is right for your situation.
If you're comparing consultancies right now, we'd encourage you to ask every one of them these same seven questions — including us.
